- Rachael GLoved this little stopover. Great location, quiet, historical and quiet. We stayed in a cabin which was reasonably priced. Its close to Motu Falls. Lovely service and welcome. Definately recommend.

- Old WLoved our 2 night trailer camping here. Nice grassy area and some powered sites. Beautiful area and walks nearby. Camp owners have a little cafe with coffee etc and can rustle up tasty meals. Excellent wifi inclusive. Comfy hangout type kitchen.

LisaJust needed a stopover at a nice quiet camp site with facilities and that allowed dogs on our RV trip around Hawkesbay. Toilets, showers, great kitchen and dining area. All very clean and tidy. Powered sites available and wifi. Shops nearby for groceries, food and coffee. Very good value. No fuss. Perfect.
About us
We relocated here from the Bay of Plenty in 2016 and are enjoying the slower pace and friendly small town atmosphere here in Matawai.
We welcome and appreciate any feed back or suggestions from our visitors.
Your pets are welcome {must have up to date vaccinations}.
Please keep them under control as there are Weka's and other wildlife wandering through the camp.
Barista Coffee - Frappes -  Acai Smoothies and a small selection of grocery items are available from the Camp Office / Store.
